Fitness icon Milind Soman took off from Shivaji Park early on Thursday morning on a foot and a bicycle journey from Mumbai to Goa. Soman, a Dadar resident, is well into the fifth edition of the Fit Indian Run 2025, and will cover the 558-km journey in five days, aiming to finish the solo endurance test by June 30. Soman’s route from Mumbai to Goa is winding through the picture postcard Konkan belt, including Pen, Kolad, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavli and finally Panaji.

Soman said before starting his run from home ground, which is Shivaji Park, “I will be doing approximately 100 km cycling and 21 km running, every day.” He then added in typical easy, breezy Soman style, “Let’s see, it depends on how I am feeling. I may do a 90-km bike ride and run 30 km that day. The idea is to keep moving forward.”
