After Mumbai Police told the Bombay High Court of "no foul play" in the Disha Salian death case, Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Aaditya Thackeray on Thursday said that some people were trying to defame him for five years over this issue, reported news agency ANI.

"Some people have been trying to defame me for 5 years... I did not say anything back then and won`t say now as well because why talk on a topic which is not related to me," Thackeray told reporters in Mumbai.

Meanwhile, Shiv Sena leader and Maharashtra Minister Deepak Kesarkar advised Aaditya Thackeray to stay away from "filmy people" amid the fresh chaos over the death of Disha Salian. He added that the doubts in the case arose when it was discovered that CCTV footage was missing, reported ANI.
