Thane crime: College student arrested for raping teenage girl

The girl`s mother approached the police with a complaint on Tuesday, following which the accused was arrested and booked under section 64 (rape) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act

An official on Wednesday said that the police have arrested a college student for allegedly raping a 17-year-old girl in Maharashtra`s Thane district, reported news agency PTI.
The incident took place in Badlapur area on January 28.
