A scooterist was killed and ten others, including nine school students, were injured when their van collided with a two-wheeler and overturned in Palghar district of Maharashtra, police said. The incident occurred at around 9 am at Satpati, nearly 10 km from the Palghar district headquarters, when the students were travelling in a private van, an official said.

The spokesperson further added, "The activity undertaken is restricted only to tree trimming/pruning to facilitate movement of trailer the receiving and assembly area created for the purpose of trials at Marol Maroshi Road, Sariput Nagar. The necessary permissions from the competent authorities for carrying of tree pruning activity have been obtained. The trial runs will be conducted in the 3-km stretch from temporary facility of parking to Marol Naka Metro Station."

62 swine flu cases found in Mumbai circle this year
A total of 62 swine flu cases have been detected so far this year in Mumbai circle which also comprises neighbouring Thane, Palghar and Raigad districts, a health official told PTI on Monday. From January 1 to July 24, 2022, a total of 1,66,132 people were screened, out of whom 62 confirmed cases of the H1N1 influenza virus were found, deputy director of health services (Mumbai circle) Dr Gauri Rathod told PTI.
