The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has directed the engineers from the water engineering department to minimise the inconvenience to citizens as 10 per cent water rationing came into effect in the city on Friday. Additional Municipal Commissioner (Projects) Abhijeet Bangar held a meeting of deputy engineers and assistant engineers on Thursday where the reasons for the rationing, its impact on the supply system, likely problems, and measures to address them were discussed.
