BMC commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal on Wednesday directed civic officials to visit low lying areas in their jurisdiction where there is a possibility of flooding.
"There is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall in Mumbai in the next 4-5 &nbsp;days beginning from today. &nbsp;It is hereby directed that all concerned officers must visit low lying areas in their jurisdiction where there is a possibility of flooding and take prompt necessary action wherever required. &nbsp;Dewatering pumps must be activated without any delay, if required. Ward officers are directed that they will keep a close watch on all the subways in the areas. I shall also be randomly visiting some of these spots," Chahal said in a statement.
