Train services on all lines of Western Railway’s Mumbai Suburban section have been restored after a major block. The block, conducted on the night of 24/25 January 2025, was undertaken to rebuild the south abutment of Bridge No. 20. (PIC/SATEJ SHINDE)

<div>All slow trains after 23:00 hrs operated on the fast line between Mumbai Central and Santacruz. Slow trains bypassed stations like Mahalaxmi, Lower Parel, Prabhadevi, Matunga Road, Mahim, and Khar Road.</div>

<p>Approximately 127 suburban services were cancelled during the block on 24/25 January. Another 60 services were partially cancelled, impacting thousands of commuters. A similar operational pattern will apply for the block on 25/26 January.</p>

Around 150 suburban services will be cancelled during tonight’s block, with 90 services partially cancelled.

Western Railway has apologised for the inconvenience caused and emphasised the importance of this work to ensure passenger safety.
