The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) headquarters in Fort was lit up in blue, hours after the civic body presented its Budget 2025 on Tuesday. The BMC, considered the richest civic body in the country, unveiled a budget of 74,427.41 crore, with the highest allocation of 5,545 crore dedicated to the Mumbai Sewage Disposal Project. This project will fund the construction of seven Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs), which will become operational between 2026 and 2028 in phases (PICS/SATEJ SHINDE)
