"These works will transform Nashik and Trimbakeshwar into major pilgrimage and tourism hubs. All projects are planned to last at least 25 years and will ensure modern facilities for devotees,” CM Fadnavis said

During a ceremony on Thursday, projects worth Rs 5,757 crore were inaugurated, including Rs 2,270 crore by the Public Works Department and Rs 3,338 crore by the Nashik Municipal Corporation

Deputy CM Shinde highlighted the broader vision of the Kumbh, stating, “The Simhastha Kumbh Mela is not just a religious event; it will put India on the global spiritual map. Roads, sanitation, water supply, transport, and accommodation facilities for sadhus and devotees are being systematically upgraded”
