At least ten shops were gutted in the blaze, but no casualties have been reported.

The fire erupted around 11:30 AM at a furniture godown and quickly spread to adjacent shops.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) confirmed the incident occurred near A1 Darbar Restaurant on Swami Vivekanand Marg in Jogeshwari West.

The Mumbai Fire Brigade categorised the fire as Level 2, indicating it was a major blaze.

More than 20 fire engines, water tankers, and other equipment were deployed to douse the flames. Firefighters and emergency responders rushed to the scene to contain the situation.

The Mumbai Fire Brigade, local police, and 108 Ambulance services were mobilised immediately. Thick plumes of smoke were seen billowing from the affected area as firefighters battled the flames.

The fire was confined to the ground-floor furniture godown but rapidly spread to nearby shops.

Authorities are yet to determine the exact cause of the fire. Further investigation is expected to determine the cause and any possible lapses in safety measures.
