Train passengers using the Western Railway’s slow line services should brace for delays and cancellations this Sunday, 15 June, due to a scheduled five-hour Jumbo Block between Santacruz and Goregaon stations

The block, which will be in place from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, is being taken to carry out essential maintenance work on tracks, signalling systems, and overhead wires, as confirmed by Western Railway’s Chief Public Relations Officer, Vineet Abhishek

"To carry out maintenance work of tracks, signaling and overhead equipment, a Jumbo Block of five hours will be taken on UP and Down slow lines between Santacruz and Goregaon Station from 10:00 hrs to 15:00 hrs on Sunday, i.e. 15thJune, 2025," a post shared by official handle of Western Railways read

During this period, all trains on the slow line will be diverted to the fast line between Santacruz and Goregaon

As a result, these trains will skip halts at Vile Parle and Ram Mandir stations 

Trains will not stop at Vile Parle due to the short platform on the fast track, and Ram Mandir will be skipped as no platform is available for fast line services

However, Harbour Line trains will continue to stop at Vile Parle and Ram Mandir, offering some relief to commuters from those areas

In addition, some local train services will be cancelled, while a few trains between Borivali and Andheri on the Harbour Line will terminate at Goregaon during the block hours

Commuters have been advised to check with their local station master for detailed updates and alternate arrangements
