The Raj Bhavan is not only the official home of the Governor but also a centre for various official events, including meetings, receptions, and important ceremonies

The Raj Bhavan offers a panoramic view of the Arabian Sea and is surrounded by lush greenery. It is one of the most scenic areas in the city

The building was initially constructed in 1830 during the British colonial era and has been the residence of the Governor since then

Meanwhile, earlier on Saturday, the Raj Bhavan staff worked round the clock to ensure that the Governor`s house is ready for the Republic Day celebrations

The Governor is likely to host several dignitaries tomorrow as part of the Republic Day 2025 celebrations. This would include political leaders, government officials, and foreign dignitaries, who are typically invited to attend such prestigious events held at Raj Bhavan

Meanwhile, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, another iconic structure in south Mumbai, was also lit up in the hues of the national flag

The Grade-I heritage structure, protected for its historical and architectural value, is one of the oldest buildings in the city. Designed by British architect Sir George Gilbert Scott, it was completed in 1893
