Amid the ongoing chaos over the closure of the Elphinstone bridge, a tussle ensued between the authorities and the protesters over the closure of the bridge. The traffic department had announced that the bridge would officially close at 9 PM this was stalled due to protestors resistance. The barricades were stopped from being placed, the bulldozer was turned back as the protestors didn't let the proceedings to take place.
