AIIMS Delhi denies claims of the COVID-19 vaccine being responsible for deaths

A panel of AIIMS doctors has dismissed claims that COVID-19 vaccines caused rising deaths among youth. Dr Karan Madan stated no link was found between vaccines and sudden cardiac arrests. Experts emphasized the vaccines’ life-saving role, with over 13 billion doses administered globally and WHO approval for multiple vaccine technologies.

A panel of expert doctors from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences have denied that the coronavirus vaccine was responsible for rising death cases among the youth. This comes a day after the Indian Council of Medical Research debunked claims about the same.

According to Associate Professor Dr Karan Madan, Department of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine, AIIMS Delhi, a study was conducted on sudden cardiac arrests to review the COVID-19 vaccines used so far, which concluded that there is no clear association of vaccines found with sudden cardiac deaths among the youth. 

Dr Madan also highlighted that COVID-19 vaccines were effective and played a crucial role in reducing the mortality of the virus. He further stated that during any pandemic, vaccines are the only possible measures to save lives, and the benefits provided by them are immense, according to ANI.
