The death toll due to floods and landslides triggered by relentless rain in Arunachal Pradesh has increased to 11, as a labourer died in a wall collapse incident in Anjaw district, officials said on Tuesday, reported the PTI.
According to a statement by the State Emergency Operation Centre (SEOC), 38-year-old Bhaben Murmu died when a wall collapsed during a landslide on June 1. Three General Reserve Engineer Force (GREF) workers were also injured in the incident, PTI reported.
A total of 938 people have been affected by floods in 156 villages across 23 districts, the statement said.
