Assam logs 17.8 pc turnout, Kerala 16.2 pc in early voting

Early voter turnout in the 2026 Assembly elections stood at 17.8 percent in Assam and 16.2 percent in Kerala, with Puducherry recording 17.4 percent by 9 am. Polling is underway across 296 seats in two states and one Union Territory, with counting scheduled for May 4

Voter turnout at 9 am on Thursday in Assam was recorded at 17.87 per cent, while in Keralam it was at 16.23 per cent, as per the data shared by the Election Commission of India (ECI) for the ongoing 2026 Assembly elections in both states.
The polling trends in the Union Territory of Puducherry showed a voter turnout of 17.41 per cent at 9 am.
