West Bengal Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee, on Friday congratulated the Prime Minister-designate, Tarique Rahman over the Bangladesh Nationalist Party's (BNP) emphatic victory in the general elections in the neighbouring country, which was conducted on Thursday, with the results becoming clear on Friday morning.
In a statement posted on the wall of her official social media handle, Chief Minister Banerjee also congratulated the people of Bangladesh for their participation in the general elections, which were conducted more or less peacefully on Thursday.
