Bihar elections 2025: Enforcement agencies seize Rs 64.13 crore worth of liquor

With the Bihar elections just around the corner, the conventional seizures and confiscation by the enforcement agencies have started. As reported by news agency PTI, the enforcement agency on Monday seized liquor, cash, drugs and freebies with a combined value of Rs 64.13 crore across Bihar since the announcement of the schedule for the assembly elections on October 6, officials said on Monday. The seizures made by the agencies included liquor worth Rs 23.41 crore in Bihar, which is indeed a dry state.

Moreover, the Bihar police and other agencies concerned have also arrested 753 people since October 6 in the state and executed 13,587 non-bailable warrants during this period, an official said.
