Bihar elections 2025: India-Nepal border points closed ahead of second phase

Days before the second phase of the Bihar Assembly elections 2025, India-Nepal border points have been sealed for 72 hours to ensure security. The second phase of polling is on November 11, with leaders from NDA and Mahagathbandhan making their final appeals to voters ahead of the elections

Just before the second phase of polling in the Bihar Assembly elections 2025, various India-Nepal border points have been closed for 72 hours. The closure of entry-exit points is done ahead of the second phase of elections, which is scheduled for November 11.

Mahottari Assistant Chief District Officer Sanjay Kumar Pokhrel, while speaking to the media, said that "the election is scheduled to be held on 11 November in Bihar, India. From a security perspective, we have halted border crossings," as cited by news agency ANI.
