The BJP on Wednesday alleged irregularities in voter registration across Rae Bareli, Wayanad, Diamond Harbour, and Kannauj parliamentary constituencies. The party demanded that Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Abhishek Banerjee, and Akhilesh Yadav resign as Lok Sabha MPs, claiming they won elections through "vote chori," reported PTI.
At a presentation on electoral rolls at the BJP headquarters, former Union Minister Anurag Thakur highlighted alleged discrepancies in the Kolathur assembly seat in Tamil Nadu and Manipuri Lok Sabha seat in Uttar Pradesh. He also called on the Chief Minister and DMK chief M.K. Stalin and SP leader Dimple Yadav resigned over alleged election rigging, reported PTI.
Thakur criticized Congress, TMC, Samajwadi Party, and DMK leaders for questioning the Election Commission and accused them of spreading false narratives against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar, which is set to expand to other states. He claimed the opposition was trying to protect their "vote bank of illegal Bangladeshi infiltration" and other "intruders."
