India launches 'Operation Sindoor', targets terror camps in Pakistan

An official statement from the government said, "The Indian Armed Forces launched 'Operation Sindoor', hitting terrorist infrastructure from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed"

The Indian Armed Forces on Wednesday launched 'Operation Sindoor', targeting terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), days after the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people.

'Operation Sindoor' targeted nine terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir and was in direct response to the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam on April 22 that killed 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali citizen and injured several others.
