City gets hi-tech trucks to fight fire

NMMC's fire departments will spend Rs 3 crore to purchase two water tankers, which can hold 12,000 litres, one mini and one regular fire tender and one fire rescue vehicle

With a view to minimise the response time to disaster and taking note of the recent building collapse in Mumbra and Dahisar, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation’s (NMMC) fire department is aiming to equip itself with hi-tech fire fighting equipment.
