Rajya Sabha witnesses opposition push for debate on Bihar's voter list revision

Several opposition members in the Rajya Sabha submitted Suspension of Business notices on Thursday, calling for a discussion on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists in Bihar during the ongoing Monsoon Session of Parliament.

Congress Rajya Sabha MP Akhilesh Prasad Singh submitted a notice demanding a detailed discussion on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process in Bihar, raising concerns over the ongoing voter list revision. Similarly, Congress MP Ranjeet Ranjan filed a notice under Rule 267, urging an immediate debate on the matter, reported ANI. 

Additionally, Congress MP Ashok Singh submitted a separate notice, seeking clarity and a thorough discussion on the SIR exercise being conducted in Bihar.
