<p>The Gauhati High Court in Assam reportedly received a bomb threat on Tuesday morning, the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-crime-news/article/55-year-old-man-held-for-sexually-assaulting-four-year-old-girl-in-mumbais-borivali-23523874" target="_blank" rel="none noopener"><strong>police</strong></a> said, according to the PTI.</p>
<p>The high court received an email threatening that there would be a blast in the building, they said.</p>
<p>"We have immediately rushed a team to the high court after getting the threat message. Our experts are checking every corner of the premises, and nothing has been found so far. We believe it is a hoax," a senior police officer told PTI.</p>
<p>He said the details will be known only after the search operation is over.</p>
<p>A senior official of the high court said the email was received from an unknown organisation, named 'Madras Tigers', which threatened to blow up the entire building.</p>
<p>"Police have come and they are carrying out a search operation. They have brought different equipment to sanitise the building," he said, as per the PTI.</p>
<p>The official said the threat has not hampered the functioning of the court, and judges are hearing cases as scheduled.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, in an another incident in Mumbai, the Khar police have booked a disgruntled employee of a private security agency for raising a false alarm about a supposed murder plot targeting Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff.</p>
<p>The accused has been identified as 35-year-old Manish Kumar Sujinder Singh, a native of Punjab, according to police.</p>
<p>A senior Mumbai Police officer told mid-day that Singh called the Mumbai Police Control Room on Monday and alleged that two senior employees of a private security agency were plotting to kill <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/entertainment/bollywood-news/article/tiger-shroff-reveals-that-baaghi-2-changed-his-life-celebrates-7th-anniversary-23509999" target="_blank" rel="none noopener"><strong>Tiger Shroff</strong></a> for a contract of Rs 2 lakh.</p>
<p>&ldquo;During the call, Singh went as far as claiming that he had personally supplied the weapons and handed over Rs 2 lakh to the alleged contract killers,&rdquo; the officer said.</p>
<p>Following the alarming call, security agencies were immediately put on high alert. However, a swift and thorough investigation revealed that the information provided by Singh was completely false and baseless.</p>
<p>&ldquo;As a result, an FIR has been registered against Singh under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including Sections 212, 217, and 353(2),&rdquo; the officer added.</p>
<p>Asked about the motive behind the false claim, the officer said, &ldquo;Our investigation indicates that Singh fabricated the story to settle personal scores with the two senior security professionals he had named in the call.&rdquo;</p>
<p>No arrest has been made yet, but officials confirmed that Singh will soon be served a legal notice.</p>
