FIR filed against five, two taken for questioning in BDS student suicide case

A first information report (FIR) has been filed against five people in connection with the alleged suicide of a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) student at a private university in Greater Noida, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP) Sudhir Kumar said. The police have taken two more people into custody for questioning, although they have not been arrested yet.

"An FIR has been lodged against five people. The investigation is ongoing... Two individuals have been taken for questioning, but they have not been arrested. Action will be taken based on the evidence," ADCP Sudhir Kumar told ANI.

The incident occurred in a private university, where a second-year BDS student was found dead in her hostel room. The police believe she died by suicide. Upon receiving information, the police acted swiftly and arranged for the postmortem of the body.
