Holi 2026: Delhi Police issue 1,204 challans for drunk driving

According to official data, a total of 1,204 challans were issued for drunk driving during the Holi celebrations on Wednesday. This was slightly lower than 1,213 cases recorded last year, indicating a marginal decline in such violations

The Delhi Traffic Police issued nearly 5,000 challans including 1,204 for drunk driving during Holi 2026 celebrations in the national capital, reported the PTI.

Officials said that more than 1,200 challans for drunk driving during a special enforcement drive across the city on Holi. The western range recorded the highest number of violations during the festival.
