India’s WPI inflation edges up to 2.13 per cent in February

India's wholesale price index inflation edged up to 2.13 per cent in February from 1.81 per cent in January, driven by higher prices of manufactured goods, basic metals, food articles and textiles, according to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry

India's inflation rate, based on the wholesale price index, edged up to 2.13 per cent during February, compared to the same month of the previous year, primarily due to the increase in prices of manufactured goods, basic metals, food articles, and textiles, according to data released by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry on Monday. 

The WPI inflation for February was higher than the corresponding figure of 1.81 per cent recorded in January this year.
