Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman criticised the Congress manifesto on Saturday, warning of potential economic regression if implemented. She likened the manifesto to a "Muslim League document" and stressed the BJP's responsibility to scrutinise it.
Speaking in Pune, Sitharaman questioned the Congress' financial strategy, citing Karnataka as an example of how election pledges drained funding for development. She warned that nationwide implementation of such policies could drive India's economy from the top of the world rankings to the "fragile five", reported PTI.
