Six-month-old dies after allegedly consuming contaminated water in Indore

On Wednesday, Chief Minister (CM) Mohan Yadav visited hospitals in the district where people are undergoing treatment after falling ill due to allegedly contaminated water. He announced Rs 2-lakh financial assistance to the families of the victims and free treatment for all the affected people

A family in Indore district has lost its six-month-old son, born after 10 years, after he fell ill allegedly due to consumption of contaminated water, news agency ANI reported, quoting officials and family members of the infant.

According to the family, the child developed diarrhoea on December 26 and was taken to a local doctor, who prescribed medication. After the check-up, the child was brought back home. However, on December 29, he suffered a high fever, vomited, and died at home.
