The accident occurred at 6:13 AM in the Battal Ballian area when a speeding truck broke through a barricade and struck the car, which was ferrying eight pilgrims enroute to the Amarnath Yatra via the Pahalgam base camp, according to a security force officer, reported PTI.
The car was part of the 16th batch of over 7,900 pilgrims who had departed from Jammu for the twin base camps of Pahalgam and Baltal earlier in the day.
