A landslide in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri blocked a key national highway, disrupting traffic amid heavy rains and cloudbursts in hilly regions. Restoration work is underway. Uttarakhand also faces destruction from cloudbursts and floods in Chamoli and Uttarkashi, prompting large-scale relief and rescue operations by state authorities.

With heavy rain and cloudburst situations in the valley disrupting the services and commute, another landslide in Jammu and Kashmir has caused major disruption at the Jammu-Rajouri National Highway. One of the major routes that connected Rajouri to various parts of Jammu was blocked on Tuesday due to a landslide, bringing traffic to a standstill.
As reported by the news agency ANI, restoration work at the spot is underway to remove debris and clear the road for vehicle movement.
Amid the heavy rainfall all across the country during the monsoon, the hilly areas have been affected majorly, especially in the Uttarakhand region. Cloudbursts, floods, and landslides have caused significant loss of life and property, making the situation a lot more worrisome.
