A paratrooper was killed during a gunfight with the terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar as a massive search operation to track down terrorists was underway.
The army had on Sunday launched ‘Operation Trashi-I’ in Sonnar village near Mandral-Singhpora in the Chatroo belt. A gunfight broke out during the operation between the terrorists and security forces that left eight soldiers injured. One of the injured troopers, Havildar Gajendra Singh, breathed his last during treatment at a military hospital here during the intervening night of January 18 and 19, said officials.
