A 40-year-old man, who had been undergoing treatment for his mental illness, allegedly killed his mother in Latur district of Maharashtra, a police official said on Wednesday, reported the PTI.

His 69-year-old mother was reportedly killed by her son, who has been under treatment for mental health issues for the past 12 years, the official said, according to the PTI.
