PCMC records 57.71 per cent turnout; PMC at 52.42 per cent

Polling in the PCMC limits was conducted from 7.30 am to 5.30 pm across 2,067 polling centres. As per provisional figures, 9,89,026 voters cast their ballots by the close of polling. Of these, 5,25,147 were men, 4,63,827 were women, and 52 voters were listed under the ‘other’ category

The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) general elections concluded peacefully on Thursday, registering a voter turnout of 57.71 per cent, while the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) recorded 52.42 per cent turnout.
