<p>A 19-year-old man allegedly killed his father by striking him on the head with a stone while he slept at their home in <strong><a href="https://www.mid-day.com/news/india-news/article/maharashtra-minor-boy-held-under-pocso-act-in-beed-after-allegedly-abusing-a-six-year-old-girl-23621487?celebrity-life-newsmakers-photo-breakingnews" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Beed </a></strong>district, Maharashtra, police said on Monday, PTI reported.&nbsp;</p>
<p>The accused, Kiran Mule, absconded after the attack, which occurred in Kada town in Ashti tehsil on Sunday night. Police teams have been formed to track him down, an official added.</p>
<p>According to the PTI, the official said the accused, who was in an inebriated state, attacked his father, Anil Sajan Mule (50), while he was asleep in their makeshift hut near a bus stop.</p>
<p>The victim&rsquo;s remains were discovered by his mother in the early hours of Monday, the official said.</p>
<p>He added that the victim was a daily wage labourer, and the exact reason behind the <strong><a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/us-israel-attack-iran-shiv-sena-ubt-links-panic-buying-of-fuel-and-gas-in-maharashtra-to-lack-of-transparency-on-situation-23623272" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">attack </a></strong>is yet to be ascertained.</p>
<h2>Indian Navy personnel kills woman, dismembers her body in Visakhapatnam</h2>
<p>In another such horrifying incident, an <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/amp/news/india-news/article/indian-navy-trains-16-nations-under-ios-sagar-harbour-phase-in-kochi-boosts-maritime-cooperation-23622954" target="_blank" rel="none noopener"><strong>Indian Navy</strong></a> personnel allegedly murdered a 28-year-old woman, dismembered her body, and attempted to destroy evidence in the Gajuwaka area, a police official said on Monday, reported the PTI.</p>
<p>According to the police, the accused procured a knife online, dismembered the body, stored some parts in a refrigerator, and burnt the head and hands at a vacant place near Adavivaram on Sunday.</p>
<p>The accused has been identified as Chintada Ravindra, police said.</p>
<h2>Murder inside the house</h2>
<p>According to the Circle Inspector of Police (CI) in Gajuwaka, Visakhapatnam, the incident took place in a house located in LV Nagar, where the accused reportedly dismembered the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/news/india-news/article/delhi-shocker-man-kills-wife-using-lpg-cylinder-in-presence-of-18-month-old-child-on-suspicions-at-delhi-home-held-23623287" target="_blank" rel="none noopener"><strong>victim's body</strong></a> into two parts. One-half was kept in a refrigerator, while the other half was packed in a gunny bag, as per the ANI.</p>
<p>Police informed that the accused committed the crime while his wife was away at her parental home.</p>
<h2>Argument broke out between the two</h2>
<p>According to reports, Ravindra had asked the victim, Mounika, to come to his house in the afternoon. An argument broke out between them, which escalated, leading to the brutal murder. The accused, Ravindra, has been taken into police custody, the news agency reported.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Gajuwaka police have registered a case and are currently investigating the matter.</p>
<h2>Posted at INS Dega</h2>
<p>Ravindra was posted at INS Dega, had been in contact with the deceased Polipalli Mounika since 2021 after meeting her through a dating application, <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-crime-news/article/lpg-crisis-mumbai-police-book-hotel-owner-manager-for-illegal-use-of-domestic-lpg-cylinders-in-south-mumbai-23623283" target="_blank" rel="none noopener"><strong>police</strong></a> said, adding that the two developed a relationship over time and frequently met at various locations across Visakhapatnam, such as parks and theatres, reported the PTI.</p>
<p>"A Navy staff (Ravindra) on Sunday killed Mounika at his residence following an altercation and later dismembered the body, disposed of the parts at different locations," the official told PTI.</p>
<h2>Threatened to reveal their relationship to his wife</h2>
<p>According to the accused, the woman had allegedly taken Rs 3.5 lakh from him and threatened to reveal their relationship to his wife, leading to frequent disputes between them, the official said, as per the PTI.</p>
<p>On the day of the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/news/india-news/article/delhi-hoax-call-case-karnataka-man-held-by-delhi-police-for-sending-over-1000-hoax-threat-messages-across-india-23623277" target="_blank" rel="none noopener"><strong>incident</strong></a>, the accused allegedly called her to his flat, where a heated argument broke out before he smothered her to death, the official added.&nbsp;</p>
