Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) President Harshwardhan Sapkal on Monday accused the Mahayuti government of deceiving farmers affected by excessive rainfall and floods, calling the recently approved Rs 11,000-crore relief package as “deceptive” as the earlier Rs 32,000-crore package.

Sapkal reiterated that the government should provide Rs 50,000 per hectare to affected farmers, instead of “adding salt to their wounds” with inadequate relief measures.
