A Shiv Sena leader's house in Dhule district was allegedly attacked and a BJP candidate in Nagpur was assaulted, prompting police to launch a probe into the matter, officials said.

Dhule district on Thursday witnessed serious poll-related violence over the past 48 hours, police said, including a clash between two groups that resulted in a damaged EVM during the Maharashtra local body elections, reported the PTI.
