A 17-year-old boy was stabbed to death in <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-crime-news/article/cbi-cracks-down-on-international-cyber-fraud-racket-in-pune-mumbai-3-arrested-23586557" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Pune</a> on Tuesday, following which three teenagers were detained, police said, reported news agency PTI.
The incident, which was a fallout of an old enmity, took place near Maharana Pratap Garden located on Bajirao Road in the heart of the city.
"A teenager, who was going on his motorbike with his friend, was stabbed to death with sharp weapons. Three accused were identified and they were taken into custody. We have also recovered a weapon that was used in the murder," an official of <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/news/india-news/article/pune-gangster-manages-to-obtain-passport-and-travel-abroad-cops-launch-probe-23596490" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Khadak police station</a> said, reported PTI.
All the accused as well as the deceased were residents of Parvati area. The reason behind the murder is previous old enmity, he said, reported PTI.
"The three accused, the deceased and his friend were below 18 years of age. None of them are related to any gang. These are just rogue elements," he added.
<h2>History-sheeter involved in over 100 theft cases held in Pune</h2>
In another case, the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-crime-news/article/mumbai-police-arrest-chain-snatcher-from-pune-in-ghatkopar-robbery-that-left-woman-injured-23553113" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Navi Mumbai police</a> have arrested a 47-year-old history sheeter involved in over 100 cases of theft from Pune, officials said on Tuesday, reported PTI.
The accused was identified as Sajjad Garibsha Irani, who was staying in a plush Kingston Atlantis Residential project in the Kondhwa area, an official said, reported PTI.
"The crime branch team of the Navi Mumbai police apprehended the accused involved in over 100 cases of thefts and conning people by posing as a policeman," said Ajaykumar Landge, <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-crime-news/article/pune-repeat-offender-attacks-police-with-knife-shot-dead-in-retaliation-23591981" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Assistant Commissioner</a> of Police (Crime), reported PTI.
A 68-year-old Kharghar resident was duped by the accused, who fled with his gold ornaments in July.
During the probe of the case, the police analysed the CCTV footage of Lonavala and Pimpri Chinchwad area for 25 days and zeroed in on the bike used in the crime, he said, reported PTI.
After obtaining details of the accused, the police reached his residence in the Kondhwa area on October 10, where they found that Irani's wife was possessing 1,168 grams of gold ornaments valued over Rs 1.25 crore, he said, reported PTI.
During <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/man-in-ghatkopar-arrested-for-chain-snatching-to-repay-rs-3-5-lakh-loan-taken-for-girlfriend-23554994" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">the investigation</a>, Irani was apprehended by the crime branch team on October 28 and brought to Navi Mumbai. He was sent to police custody till November 6, he said.
