The warning, issued at 4 pm, covers Nashik, Ahilya Nagar, Pune, Satara and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar. Separately, Dhule and Jalgaon districts are likely to witness light rain accompanied by the possibility of thunder and lightning in some areas

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday issued a yellow alert for several districts of Maharashtra, forecasting light spells of rain over the next three hours.

A nowcast warning, issued at 4 pm on January 27, stated that parts of Maharashtra including Nashik, Ahilyanagar, Pune, Satara and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar were likely to experience light rains and thunder.
