Philippine President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr arrived in New Delhi on Monday for a five-day state visit to India, aimed at further strengthening the ties between the two countries, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) stated.
This is the first visit by the President of the Southeast Asian country to India since he assumed office three years ago. The visit is of significance as it aligns with the 75th anniversary celebrations of diplomatic ties between the two nations.
In a post on social media platform X, MEA stated that President Marcos was welcomed by Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margherita.
