Registration counters for new MPs activated in Parliament House complex

Registration counters for newlyelected MPs will become operational from 2 PM on Tuesday at the Parliament House complex the Lok Sabha Secretariat said as the counting of votes progressed reported news agency PTIIt also said the registration counters will remain operational from 10 AM to 8 PM from June 5 to June 14Seeking to reduce paper work and making formalities for members seamless the registration process will be done through an online integrated software application reported PTIMembers would not be required to sign multiple physical forms with various branches a move that would help save a substantial amount of timeEarlier the registration of newlyelected members used to take place in the old Parliament House building now Samvidhan Sadan This time the secretariat has made such arrangements in the Parliament House Annexe reported PTIA team has been assigned the task to keep close tab on Election Commission website on Tuesday and to enter the contact details of successful candidates in near real timeThe team using a software application would be able to check whether the successful candidate is a new MP or reelected reported PTIThe same information would be shared with liaison officers An endeavour has been made to deploy liaison from the same region and similar language skills to facilitate members and ensure faster communicationTransit accommodation in the Western Court Annexe or state Bhavans are being provided to newlyelected members who are not already in possession of government accommodation in the national capital till they are provided regular accommodation by the House Committee Lok SabhaIn a progressive stride from past practices a software based computerized system for the allotment of Transit Accommodation to Members of the 18th Lok Sabha in the Western Court AnnexeHostel or StateUT BhawansGuest Houses has been implementedAccommodation desks have been set up at Parliament House Complex to allot transit accommodation to the newly elected Members The services of the accommodation desk will be available 24X7 reported ANIGuideposts have been set up at all three domestic terminals at IGI Airport and Railway Stations at Delhi New Delhi Nizamuddin and Anand Vihar June 4 to June 9 tentative to receive elected Members of 18th Lok Sabha and to render them necessary helpservices that they may requireThe Guideposts at AirportsRailway Stations will function on June 4 2024 0600 PM to 1100 P M one shift and from June 5 2024 to June 9 2024 from 0500 AM to 0200 PM and 0200 PM to 1100 PM in two shifts The staff of Lok Sabha Secretariat have been deployed to perform duties at Guideposts at Airport and Railway Stations reported ANITransport facilities will also be available at Airports and Railway Stations for ferrying Members to Parliament House Complex or the Guest Houses as the case may beCGHS Medical Posts will function on 24X7 basis in North Avenue amp South Avenue and near Western Court AnnexeHostel at Telegraph lane to extend Medical facilities to the Members reported ANIIn addition Ambulance services will also be available 24X7 In case of any medical emergencysudden illness of Members the nearby hospitals have also been sensitizedWith inputs from PTI and ANI
