One of South India’s most revered pilgrimage centres, the Sabarimala Ayyappa Temple is set to be opened on Sunday at 5 pm for the Mandala-Makaravilakku festival season. The Mandala-Makaravilakku marks the beginning of the Kartika month.
As reported by news agency IANS, lakhs of devotees are preparing for the annual pilgrimage. Also, the authorities have put in place proper and strict crowd management. With an extreme rush expected on Sunday, the authorities are also keeping a vigilant check on digital booking systems and enhanced security arrangements.
