Supreme Court to begin hearing on November 11 pleas against Election Commission

The Supreme Court on Friday agreed to hear on November 11 pleas challenging the Election Commission's decision to conduct a pan-India Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls.

A bench of Justices Surya Kant and Joymalya Bagchi said it will start hearing the pleas from November 11 onwards after advocate Prashant Bhushan, appearing for NGO, Association of Democratic Reforms, said the issue goes to the root of democracy.
