Dr Manik Saha, the chief minister of Tripura, stated on Tuesday that the government is keeping a careful eye on everything to make sure that nobody has any issues during these trying times. He said that the Howrah River is experiencing flooding as a result of the intense rainfall that followed Cyclone Remal.

"But this time it is much less severe than last time. The work on the dam has been very good this year, so the water levels have been managed much better," he said.

Per an ANI report, Dr Saha made this statement after observing the flood conditions in the capital's Bardowali Assembly constituency region on Tuesday. Residents along the riverbank were forced to once again seek refuge in relief camps when Cyclone Remal caused the Howrah River's water level to rise. According to him, the Howrah River's flooding is causing areas to flood, therefore the victims are being swiftly rescued.

"All their accommodations are being arranged by the administration," said Dr. Saha. Subsequently, the chief minister asked about the welfare of those who sought refuge at the nearby Vivekananda School relief camp and examined their living conditions.

Dr. Saha said, "The government is ensuring that no one faces any kind of difficulty at this time. Action has also been taken by AMC. The Mayor of AMC has also been informed. There are many people who do not want to leave their homes. Many have taken shelter on the roofs. But I request them to move to a safe place because a lot of water is coming from the mountains to the river. So, you need to be careful in advance. The state administration is prepared to deal with all kinds of situations."

The Chief Minister was accompanied on the tour by Dr. Vishal Kumar, the West District Magistrate, and Mayor Dipak Majumdar of the Agartala Municipal Corporation.
