UK High Court refuses to reopen Nirav Modi’s extradition case

Modi is  wanted in India in connection with a Rs 13,000-crore fraud

The London High Court relied on the “quality of assurances” given by the Government of India in its note verbale while rejecting fugitive diamantaire Nirav Modi’s petition to reopen his case against extradition, officials said.

Modi is  wanted in India in connection with a Rs 13,000-crore fraud. “Refusing” the permission, the court said it relied on “the quality of assurances” given by the Indian government.
