<p>Ending the rumours of a lockdown amid the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/news/world-news/article/us-israel-attack-iran-irans-irgc-warns-us-israel-against-possible-ground-operation-23622717" target="_blank" rel="none noopener"><strong>West Asia war</strong></a>, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has stated that there is no proposal for a lockdown in India, calling such rumours &ldquo;completely false&rdquo;.</p>
<p>In a post on X, Puri urged citizens not to believe or spread misinformation, stressing that there is no such plan under consideration by the government.</p>
<p>He said that the government is closely tracking global developments, particularly in areas such as energy supply, supply chains, and essential commodities. He noted that the situation remains uncertain internationally, but authorities are monitoring it in real time.</p>
<p>"The global situation remains in flux, and we are closely monitoring developments across energy, supply chains, and essential commodities on a real-time basis. Under the leadership of PM Modi, all necessary steps are being taken to ensure uninterrupted availability of fuel, energy, and other critical supplies for our citizens. We are fully prepared to handle emerging challenges, Puri wrote on X.</p>
<p>He further stated, "India has consistently demonstrated resilience in the face of global uncertainties, and we will continue to act in a timely, proactive, and coordinated manner."</p>

<p>Puri further stated that rumours of a lockdown in <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/news/india-news/article/railway-jobs-indian-railways-open-11127-posts-for-assistant-loco-pilots-applications-open-from-may-15-check-complete-details-here-23622728" target="_blank" rel="none noopener"><strong>India</strong></a> were completely false. Let me state this clearly, there is no such proposal under consideration by the Government of India.</p>
<p>In such times, it is important that we remain calm, responsible, and united, he stated.</p>
<p>"Attempts to spread rumours and create panic in such a situation are irresponsible and harmful," Puri wrote on X.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri, on Friday, hailed the Prime Minister's decision to take a hit on the government's own finances again to safeguard the Indian citizen from rising global energy costs.</p>
