<p>Singh, a Rajya Sabha MP, contended that the grounds for his arrest had not been adequately provided. His lawyer presented the matter for an urgent hearing before a bench comprising Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and Justice Sanjeev Narula.</p>

<p>According to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED), the irregularities stem from alterations made to the Delhi Excise Policy for the year 2021-22. It is alleged that undue favors were granted to license holders during these modifications.</p>
