<div>The Jammu-Srinagar National Highway was shut from both directions after landslides, mudslides, and shooting stones struck nearly a dozen spots between Nashri and Banihal. The traffic department advised commuters not to travel along the highway until weather conditions improve and clearance operations are completed.</div>

<p>A JCB machine was deployed to clear debris and restore access near the Civil Secretariat.&nbsp;The IMD had forecasted severe weather from April 18 to 20 due to an active western disturbance, prompting authorities to take preventive measures.</p>
