In his commitment to clean air and public health security, PM Modi also dedicated to the nation a new pollution control system – Flue Gas Desulphurisation (FGD) – at the Durgapur Steel Thermal Power Station and Raghunathpur Thermal Power Station of Damodar Valley Corporation

This critical investment of Rs 1,457 crore in pollution control will not only ensure cleaner energy production but also generate new employment opportunities in the region

Additionally, the Prime Minister also opened two new road overbridges (ROBs) at Topsi and Pandabeshwar in Paschim Bardhaman. Built under the Setu Bharatam Programme at a cost exceeding Rs 380 crore, these bridges will improve connectivity and help prevent accidents at railway crossings
