Priyanka visited the flood-affected regions of Kullu district and reviewed the relief and restoration works. She also urged the Union government to lend a helping hand.

According to agency reports, on her way to Manali from Kully, the leader also visited the Sangam Bridge at Bhuntar which was damaged by over-flowing Beas river following heavy downpour in July.

Landslides and flash floods triggered by heavy rains had wreaked havoc in Himachal Pradesh--especially in Mandi and Kullu districts. The northern state has suffered losses of over Rs 8 crore due to the calamities.
